Decanter Hot-Fill PET Bottles

EATONTOWN, NJ — Novapak has introduced a new PET decanter style container in 12 oz. and 18 oz. sizes for condiments, soups, sauces, fruits, vegetables and other hot-fill applications. It features ribs and panels that provide strength and stability for hot filling, and resist deformation during stacking and distribution.

Both containers are molded of monolayer PET resin and can be filled at temperatures to 185°F (85°C). The 12 oz. container (Mold #1071) is 6.919" high and 2.410" in diameter, has a 38MM VAJ neck, and weighs 27 grams. The 18 oz. container (Mold #1072) is 7.835" high and 2.953" in diameter, has a 38MM VAJ neck, and weighs 36 grams.

The containers weigh approximately 90 percent less than comparable glass containers, and offer an opportunity to implement "reduce, reuse and recycle" sustainability strategies. Lower shipping costs and increased employee safety are also realized, according to the company.
