Novapak Awarded 2005 Supplier of the Year by NACD

LA JOLLA, CA—The National Association of Container Distributors named Novapak Corporation, Eatontown, NJ, "Supplier of the Year" at its 80th annual convention held April 13-17, 2005, it was announced by NACD president, Dennis Sipe, here.

"The award honors suppliers that have made a tremendous contribution to the entire distribution channel, and is one of the container industry's most coveted recognitions," said Sipe.

Winners are selected based on points received from NACD member companies in the areas of: leadership; product and support staff; communication; marketing; training; shipping; legislative and regulatory; technology; and policies.

Accepting the award for Novapak were Bill Bergen, President & CEO, and Ken Stufko, Vice President of Sales.

Novapak also received the award in 1994, and is the only plastic bottle producer to have received it twice since the inception of the program in 1988.

Other companies considered for this year's award included manufacturers of plastic, glass and metal containers.
